11:55 AM — Italian Hand Gestures

🇮🇹 Ms. Klose & Ms. Lerner’s FUN 4th Grade 🇮🇹

Intro into some fun Italian Holiday Traditions ✨

⏰ TIME: 11:55 AM — Italian Hand Gestures 🤌

✅ Super Important (Kid-Friendly Rules)

  • Gestures can mean different things in different places.
  • We use them in a respectful way — no teasing, no rude gestures.
  • We’ll learn a few “safe” ones that are common and fun.
Teacher line: “We’re learning culture — not making fun. We keep it kind.” 💛

🖼️ Gesture Picture (the one I created)

This is a simple classroom-safe diagram you can show on the screen:

🤌 “What do you mean?” Pinched fingers gesture Use it playfully like: “Huh?” “What happened?” 👌 “Perfect!” OK / Perfect sign Teacher-safe version: “Perfect!” “Great job!” 🤷 “I don’t know!” Shrug + hands up “I’m not sure!” “No idea!” (friendly shrug)

🎭 Practice (Quick & Fun)

  • Teacher says a line → kids choose a gesture (kind + silly).
  • Examples: “Where did my pencil go?” “That pizza was amazing!” “I have no clue!”
